Odin – The One Eyed Wanderer – A4/A3 size

Museum Quality Fine Art Fairytale print on Bamboo Paper.

“…It was on a cold winter evening, the snow was falling soft as a blanket and the whole world fell silent around me, when He appeared on my paper. I was sitting by the fire, sharpening my pencils and in my mind I saw his face so crystal clear, but I had no idea who He was. Yet.

He was accompanied by two ravens, I heard their raspy voices and felt their black feathers fly past me to land on my sketch paper. There was a gentle breeze made by their wings down my cheek and gave me a shiver, but a good one. One of those where you know something is about to happen…

And then my pencils kept breaking, I erased and erased and erased and erased… I almost erased a hole in the paper where his eye should have been. Until there nothing was left but a little white light…like a twinkling star. In that moment I knew who he was. Odin. God of knowledge, wisdom, the afterlife, magic, healing and the runes. He who traded his eye for wisdom. He who comes from the ancient world of the ice giants.

Thought and Mind made one more scratching sound and flew away to the nine worlds. With a mysterious smile he left and I have not seen him again. But the next day little mushrooms grew next to the woodshed where I had scattered the ashes from the night before…

I work together with a Dutch local art printer. This professional print studio produces museum-quality fine art prints on Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper and archival inks. Please note that the actual print might look slightly different from what you see on your computer screen, colors may vary. I photograph all Spirits and beings in daylight, but keep in mind the colors can be slightly different once you receive the print. Handle with Care. When taking your print out of the package it might be rolled up (A2 size) do not be temped to roll it the other way since it might crease the paper. Instead leave it on a flat clean surface and it will flatten itself without you have to do anything. If framing your print please do so with care. Prints printed with a lot of black ink can be damaged more easily when touched with fingertips, and I happen to use a lot of dark colors. Make sure you have clean hands or wear gloves.
