Saudade and the Sunflower – Limited Edition Museum Quality Fine Art Print – only 50 printed Signed and Numbered by me with Certificate.

“Can I please lie down with you for a while”….Saudade asked the strange-looking sunflower…He was otherworldly, but that didn’t frighten her, a vague sense of recognition and coming home took over.

The sunflower reminded her of the light she was born into. She, on the other hand, reminded him of the dark where his seeds are nurtured in the fertile soil.

She closed her eyes and went to a lazy safe dreamlike state of being. The sunflower couldn’t help but open his leaves and as she dreamed her deep dreams in raging oceans, he planted his roots deeper into the mainland. He rocked her, kept her safe in his forever flowing leafs and for the first time she really dared to dream… until it was time to wake up and she had to go…

But what the sunflower didn’t know…
letting him go was the hardest thing she’d ever done. She just couldn’t. So she secretly took its seeds and planted them everywhere she went, for the golden light of his leaves was like the sun itself, medicine for her soul, never again could she live without that glow.

I work together with a Dutch local art printer. This professional print studio produces museum-quality fine art prints on Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper and archival inks. Please note that the actual print might look slightly different from what you see on your computer screen, colors may vary. I photograph all Spirits and beings in daylight, but keep in mind the colors can be slightly different once you receive the print. Handle with Care. When taking your print out of the package it might be rolled up (A2 size) do not be temped to roll it the other way since it might crease the paper. Instead leave it on a flat clean surface and it will flatten itself without you have to do anything. If framing your print please do so with care. Prints printed with a lot of black ink can be damaged more easily when touched with fingertips, and I happen to use a lot of dark colors. Make sure you have clean hands or wear gloves.
